Splunk – AppDynamics Integration

Connect Splunk and AppDynamics and automate the data exchange between IT Service Management and Monitoring.

Data Types: Events / Health Rule Violations / Metrics

Splunk - AppDynamics Integration Use Case

For this data integration, there are two different scenarios:

ZigiOps collects AppDynamics Events and/or Health Rule Violations (HRV) and reports them to Splunk ITSI or Splunk Enterprise as Events. The platform syncs all related host details and relevant information, such as Source, Source Type, Index, Time, and more.

Alternatively, ZigiOps collects AppDynamics Metrics and reports them to Splunk Enterprise or Splunk ITSI with related server/host information. This way, these metrics can be accessed by the Splunk Search and Reporting Application and used for the building of reports, alerts, and graphs.

Challenges for Splunk and AppDynamics users

Splunk is a powerful monitoring, data analysis, and cybersecurity solution. AppDynamics is a widely used monitoring tool for application performance and IT operations analytics. Sometimes, companies need to use both tools to monitor different elements of their IT infrastructure.

If the apps aren’t connected via a data integration platform, this can slow down the detection, assessment, and resolution of issues. When the tools are not in sync this also leads to inefficiencies, delays, and missed alerts.

The automatic data exchange between systems is critical for the success of your business.

How do we solve them?

ZigiOps’ Splunk AppDynamics integration allows you to extend the capabilities of each tool and better manage and monitor your IT infrastructure.

With ZigiOps’ fully customizable and scalable data integration templates, connecting your systems is quick and effortless: it only takes minutes and you need zero coding skills.

With ZigiOps you can connect AppDynamics to both Splunk Enterprise and Splunk ITSI. Improve cross-team collaboration, detect issues before they impact the performance of your applications, and resolve them faster than ever.
