Amazon CloudWatch – ServiceNow Integration
Connect CloudWatch and ServiceNow for an improved end-to-end data flow at your organization.
Data Types: Amazon CloudWatch Alarms (Metrics and Composite) to ServiceNow Incidents
Cloudwatch (Alert) → ServiceNow (Incident)
Cloudwatch - ServiceNow Integration Use Case
With this integration, you can use Amazon CloudWatch as a data source and synchronize it with ServiceNow. When an alert in CloudWatch gets triggered, ZigiOps detects it and creates an incident in ServiceNow. It then populates all fields with the relevant data.
ZigiOps gives you granular data filtering and field mapping control, allowing you to define which alerts in CloudWatch need to be transferred to ServiceNow, and how data is reported. You can sync regular fields, custom fields, lifecycle fields, and comments.
This allows your teams to monitor your AWS infrastructure in ServiceNow and react immediately whenever there’s an issue that needs to be addressed.
Challenges for CloudWatch and ServiceNow users
Amazon CloudWatch allows you to monitor your AWS resources and gives you full visibility into the operational health of your AWS infrastructure. ServiceNow helps you quickly manage incidents and tickets, so that they can be resolved before they affect your end customers. If you’re using both tools at your organization without an integration to connect them, you risk having to deal with duplicate or incomplete data, creating informational silos, or slowing down incident resolution.
To prevent that, you can use an automatic integration between the two.
How do we solve them?
With ZigiOps’ flexible out-of-the-box templates, you can integrate your systems in minutes. To connect CloudWatch and ServiceNow, you don’t need any coding or API knowledge. This way, your teams can work better together, and exchange information instantly, solving issues faster than ever.
