Data Types: Alarms / Incidents

Azure Monitor (Alert) → ServiceNow (Incident)

Azure Monitor - ServiceNow Integration Use Case

With this integration, you can use Azure Monitor as a data source to create incidents in ServiceNow. When Azure Monitor detects a problem which triggers an alert, ZigiOps discovers it and creates an incident in ServiceNow. It then populates all fields with the relevant data.

ZigiOps gives you a high level of control of its data filtering and field mapping features, allowing you to define which alerts in Azure Monitor need to be logged into ServiceNow, and how this information gets reported. You can sync regular fields, custom fields, lifecycle fields and comments.

This allows your teams to monitor your cloud and on-premises infrastructure and be able to react immediately whenever there’s an issue that they need to handle.

Challenges for Azure Monitor and ServiceNow users

Azure Monitor allows you to monitor both cloud and on-premises resources: applications, networks and infrastructure. ServiceNow is one of the most popular IT service management solutions. With it, you can instantly distribute and manage incidents and tickets. If you’re transferring information from Azure Monitor to ServiceNow manually, this can lead to costly downtimes, delays, and tasks might fall between the cracks. To prevent that, you can use an integration platform to connect the two systems.

How do we solve them?

With ZigiOps’ fully scalable and customizable templates, you can integrate your systems in minutes. You get a wide array of actions, conditions and transformations, which are ready for you to set up and use. To connect Azure Monitor and ServiceNow, you don’t need any API or coding knowledge. This integration improves end-to-end data exchange and helps your teams coordinate the remediation of issues faster than ever before. This also allows you to improve your performance, efficiency, and service availability.
