ZigiOps connects vROps infrastructure change recommendations and capacity-driven events with ServiceNow change management, enabling organizations to ensure that VM resizing, resource reclamation actions, and cluster-level configuration changes are always accompanied by a formal ServiceNow change record. Infrastructure managers can act on vROps optimization recommendations while change managers maintain full governance visibility within ServiceNow, with no need for manual coordination between the two teams. This integration is particularly important for organizations in regulated industries where every infrastructure modification, including capacity adjustments in virtual environments, must be documented, approved, and auditable.
When VMware vRealize Operations detects a health or performance issue within the virtual infrastructure, such as VM resource contention, datastore latency, or cluster capacity risk, ZigiOps automatically creates a ServiceNow incident with all relevant vROps alert data accurately mapped. IT operations teams can respond through their standard ITSM process immediately, without needing to access vROps directly or rely on manual alert-to-ticket workflows. Alert resolution events in vROps are synchronized back to ServiceNow to automatically update or close the linked incident, ensuring that the ITSM layer continuously reflects the actual health state of the virtualized environment.
How the Integration Works
Start Syncing Data
Activate your integration and watch your data flow between systems in real time. Monitor sync status, review logs, and fine-tune settings as needed — all from a single UI.
Customise Your Integration
Tailor the integration to your exact needs using the no-code visual interface. Map fields across systems — ZigiOps supports text, numeric, date, dropdown, multi-select, checkbox, user/assignee, attachment, and custom fields.
Set sync direction (one-way or bidirectional), define filters to control which records sync, configure conflict resolution rules, and apply value transformations to ensure data consistency between platforms.
Choose an Integration Template
Select from a library of pre-built integration templates designed for the most common use cases. Each template comes with preexisting field mappings, filters, and sync rules ready to go.
Simply click "Enable" and the integration will start.
Connect Your Systems
Configure the connection to your source and target systems in ZigiOps.
Authentication is supported via basic credentials or OAuth, depending on the platform. We recommend creating a dedicated user account for ZigiOps to ensure clean audit trails and easier troubleshooting. The required permissions for this user will vary based on your specific integration use case.
Install ZigiOps or Login for SaaS
Download and install the ZigiOps integration platform on your preferred environment — on-premise or cloud.
The setup takes just a few minutes with no coding required.
