Why teams connect Zammad

Zammad is where support teams receive, answer and track customer tickets — but a ticket often needs work from people who live in other tools: engineers in Jira or Azure DevOps, or an IT service desk in ServiceNow. Without a live connection, someone copies each ticket across by hand and has to relay the outcome back to the customer record.

ZigiOps connects Zammad to the systems around it and keeps them aligned — tickets, comments, statuses and files flow between the two sides, so engineers work in their own tool and support sees the result on the ticket. The most common pairings are Zammad ↔ Jira, Zammad ↔ Azure DevOps and Zammad ↔ ServiceNow, linked field by field with no code.

Zammad integration FAQ

Is the Zammad integration two-way?

Yes. A Zammad ticket can create a record in the connected tool, and updates and attachments made there are written back to the matching Zammad ticket. Each pair of records is linked through correlation fields, so ZigiOps always knows which record belongs to which.

How do I connect Zammad to ZigiOps?

You add the URL of your Zammad helpdesk and an API token as a system instance in ZigiOps, save it, and the instance is ready to use in a workflow. No scripts or plugins are needed on the Zammad side.

How quickly do changes sync?

Workflows poll for new and updated tickets at the interval you set, and you can also run an action on demand from the workflow editor. Every run is recorded in the Troubleshooting log.

Can I limit which tickets are synced?

Yes. Filters and expressions let you pick up only the tickets you want, such as tickets created or updated since the last run, or tickets matching a field value.

Do I need to change my Zammad setup?

No. ZigiOps maps to your existing tickets, states and custom fields, and the mapping is configured point and click in the field map.
