Amazon CloudWatch – vROps Integration Use Case
The team that uses Amazon CloudWatch is notified that the system’s topology has some instances that require monitoring but are not present in the VMware vRealize Operations (vROps) database. An integration between the two tools will enable the seamless transfer of any missing data. The ZigiOps integration platform steps in and fetches the missing information. It then reports it directly to the vROps’ systems. This enriches the topology database with data from Amazon CloudWatch. Also, topology is kept updated with regular checks by ZigiOps.
ZigiOps can also fetch the collected from Amazon CloudWatch metrics and send them directly to the vROps’ systems with related host information. As a result, metrics are accessible in vROps and are available for building dashboards.
ZigiOps can also transfer alerts from Amazon CloudWatch to vROps. This leads to the synchronization and correlation with the already existing alerts.

Amazon CloudWatch is a widely used cloud system that enables DevOps teams to monitor and survey the diverse array of internal operations and applications that comprise the organization’s IT infrastructure. VMware’s vROps is also a modern-day cloud solution for enterprises. Due to its policy-based automation capabilities, vROps help companies’ tech teams automate crucial processes and enhance their IT effectiveness.
Both Amazon CloudWatch and vROps can be found in the tech kit of organizations. However, sometimes, those systems are used separately. As a result, some of the most important operations are performed manually. Speed and quality of data transfer are affected, and silos may occur.
Integrating Amazon CloudWatch and vROps through a no-code integration platform not only eliminates manual work and data transfers, but also empowers organizations to enhance communication between their departments and minimize human-related errors. This in turn leads to enhanced performance and faster issue resolution.
